Balloon festival is a worldwide attraction where people are mesmerized seeing giant balloons in the air. In New Mexico, the annual event draws thousands of spectators boosting the economy of the state during October. This is the largest festival in the world with over 500 participating balloons. The minimal general admission ticket of $10 per person generates millions of income for the organizers. For those with more budget, riding in a hot air balloon in Albuquerque costs $300 for adults and $250 for children. For nine days, the skies are colorfully painted as the hundreds of vibrant balloons lift off from the park.

 

Albuquerque Museum in Albuquerque, NM

Albuquerque Museum is where art, history, and people meet. It is formerly known as the Albuquerque Museum of Art and History with over 10,000 works of art, 130,000 items in photo archives, and 35,000 historical artifacts. The museum started in 1967 and opened in the Albuquerque International Airport. But since the collection rapidly grew, it has to transfer to its current location in 1979. World class permanent collections include the Common Ground: Art in New Mexico, Only in Albuquerque, and the Sculpture Garden. It also hosts a museum school for children during school breaks. It also operates tours for the 18thcentury old house called as Casa San Ysidro.
